The next offering in MMP Books' Camera On series is this one on heavy passenger vehicles. The German Army operated passenger vehicles in three different main categories; light, medium, and heavy. These classifications were based on engine size with the heavy cars having engines over 3 liters in size. There were three vehicles commonly used in this category. These were by Horch, Mercedes, and Steyr.

These vehicles were utilized as command cars, to haul gun crews, and sometimes to tow light guns and trailers. Some were outfit with hard bodies as an ambulance or other support vehicles.

Typical of all of the other books in the series, this is a photo book pure and simple. The book starts with a brief history of the vehicles and goes into the three types that were built. The majority of the photos are of the Horch with only a small number of photos of the laterMercedes and Steyr. Information on the cars in the image is provided through the captions of the many photos in the book. This sort of thing is a boon to modelers and enthusiasts alike. It is a welcome addition to this series. Apparently readers like these books as the titles are continuing into the future. Well worth picking up.
