This is one of the books in Kagero's more recent series. The book provides both superb color profiles from other Kagero books along with a nice decal sheet. In the past, Kagero books were known for providing decals or photo etch or masks with their books as a bonus, but that was discontinued many years ago for various reasons. These decal sheets are not for specific aircraft but so far, have been limited to just providing insignia.

This one covers pretty much all the 'round wing' Bf-109s; specifically the F and G variants. I don't think Kagero did enough profiles for the K so those are not in this compilation. You get all the various camouflage schemes and the myriad of variations that were seen on these planes.

As is usual, you are not provided with the colors used on each profile and it is for the reader to try to make that determination. You can often glean this information from past experience and the time period involved, but it really would be nice to have that information included. Unlike other books in this series, you are not provided a color chart that states all the the various colors used throughout the book. These shades were, for the most part, provided in the A-F volume released earlier.

The decals are as in other editions and consist of insignia. There are in both 1/72 and 1/48 with split swastikas. There are insignia for the F and for the G, but in reality, these can be intermingled as insignia styles were not quite that specific and used on both variants.

I anticipate that this series will do very well with modelers everywhere. The profiles in themselves are worth the asking price with the decal sheet being a bonus.
