This latest CD
from Aero Research is one that should appeal to a lot of folks. This one covers
Douglas' last propliner, the DC-7. This aircraft was often considered by many to
be the best reciprocating engine airliner ever built. Even after their passenger
carrying days were over, many were converted to all cargo aircraft and some to
fire bombers. A few were operated by various military air arms as well. There
are still a few in the air today.
As in all their offerings, you get over 150 images with each image having as much info as available including place and date of the image. This disc has images pretty well split down the middle in terms of black and white along with color images. I have reviewed the Pdf version, where the images are not as large as on the CD, but then again, there is no shipping involved.
In all, it makes for a great photo compilation on a long-lived type that isn't going away soon.
