Aero Research's start to this new year is a very nicely done disc that covers the USAF. This offering provides images from the early 1940s until the 2000s. What is really special about this one are all the superb black and white images from the 1940s and 1950s that provide us with glimpses of planes operated by the then new USAF. This includes types like the B-29 and early C-124 along with a great selection of C-121s, both standard and the EC-121 that was in service until the 1970s until replaced by the E-3. You also get other types like the A-7, C-130, F-4 and T-33 just to name a very few.

As usual, you get over 150 images with as much information as is known provided with the image. I review the PdF version as it saves on shipping costs and I can easily save the images to my computer. The PdF is emailed in two e-mails so there is not the huge expese of shipping if you live outside the US. The CD is also available if you wish it.  Again, this is a great offering if you like early Cold War images and is well worth getting.

Aero Research is converting its previous editions to PdF format, but that will not happen overnight. There is a real benefit from PdF files for overseas buyers as one does not pay shipping. Check their website for the latest conversions.
