Aero Research presents their fifth offering on the A-6 and EA-6 Intruder and Prowler. This is an aircraft that many enthusiasts think was retired from service too soon. Especially the A-6 as Boeing was busy building new wings for the aircraft when it was retired from service. One thing for sure, its replacement, the F-18E, doesn not have quite the carrying capability and is fairly incapable of providing the sort of air refueling service that was offered by the KA-6D.
What I find the most interesting in this series is that you generally have multiple entries for the same unit, showing how the unit's markings change over time. It is neat seeing the CAG markings as well. In this particular disc, there are quite a few images of planes from test units, which made a wide use of the two types for various programs. As usual, you get 150+ nicely done images with as much info as possible on each entry. Both USN and USMC squadrons are covered.
If you want this on CD it will be $12.95 plus shipping so visit their web site for more information.
Aero Research is converting its previous editions to PdF format, but that will not happen overnight. There is a real benefit from PdF files for overseas buyers as one does not pay shipping. Check their website for the latest conversions.
