Aero Research presents their first compilation of piston engine transports. All of these  in this disc are round motor US aircraft. As you'd expect, there are a ton of C-47, C-54, C-117, C-118 and C-121, C-124, and C-131s to name some of the most prevalent types. I even saw an image of VQ-1's C-121 trash hauler, the 'City of Olongapo' in the mix and it's nice seeing an aircraft I've flown in.

The majority of the images are in black and white an you will find some WWII offerings, though most of them are post war. This particular offering was sent via e-mail and is their PdF option, which I find to be more convenient and is the perfect way to avoid the additional postage costs, something that is especially important for overseas buyers.

Each of the 7.20 x 4.70 inch images on the Pdf is listed with the unit, serial number and location of the photo if that information is available. You will find that these images are smaller than on the CD. I'm sure that is because you simply cannot send 190MB or so of images via e-mail where 20MB is generally the max. This particular offering required two separate attachments.

If you want this on CD it will be $12.95 plus shipping so visit their web site for more information.

Time permitting, the rest of the library will be converted to PdF format, but that will not happen overnight. There is a real benefit from PdF files for overseas buyers as one does not pay shipping.

Thanks to Aero Research for the review CD.
