This addition to the Images of War series continues with covering US Naval Aviation. It starts at the end of WWII and goes until the end of Gulf War 1. As with all the books in this series, is is mostly photos and if you have been around a long time, you will recognize quite a few of the ones here in the book.

The first section covers the post war years to 1950. Then a section on the Korean war, followed by a section on supersonic jets and super carriers. Next is the Vietnam war then one on helicopters and ASW, then AEW and electronic warfare. One next is on the last part of the Cold War and then the time period from 1990 to 2003. There are also chapters on cargo/transports and one on experimental aircraft. As usual, the majority of the information provided comes in the photo captions. The images are well chosen and cover the width of the page. I don't recall any of the images in this series crossing 'the ditch' in the middle of the book and am grateful for that. This sort of editing is not done by people who know what they are doing.

In all, it is a fine inclusion into a popular series and is a book I know you will like.
