Peko's WW2 Photobook series has become very popular amongst armor enthusiasts over the years. This is the 21st edition and the second that features the Panzerwaffe. This book is an overview of many of the vehicles operated by the panzerwaffe and not just a single type. There are several quality, full page image of a wide variety of vehicles. The Panzer waffe contains not only your standard tanks, but also other tracked vehicles including half tracks, self propelled guns, sturmgeschutz, and panzerjaeger.

The book covers the entire war from the invasion of Poland until the final days of the Reich. This means you will find quality images of Panzer I to the King Tiger. I particularly liked the images of various versions of the Marder and the AA guns mounted on large half tracks.

The photos have been carefully chosen not only for image quality, but for interest as well. The full range of StuG III are covered from early war to those used at the end of the war. What probably makes these books such a treasure is that often private collections are used to illustrate them. Such is the case with this one with few coming directly from the Bundesarchives.

The book starts with a brief history of the panzerwaffe with the majority of information provided in the image captions. This is a dual language book with everything in both Hungarian and in English. It is highly readable and informative. In all it makes for an excellent choice for those who like to model the vehicle as well as those who are simply interested in the type. Most highly recommended.
