It is no surprise that India and Pakistan generally don't get along all that well. The partition of British India was accomplished with a considerable amount of bloodshed, all of it along religious lines. Thanks to this animosity, India and Pakistan have fought several wars and countless smaller conflicts, one of which lost Pakistan East Pakistan, which became Bangladesh.

There has been a continuous area of conflict in Kashmir, which is claimed by both India, Pakistan, and some portions by China. It is no secret that Pakistan also turns a blind eye to various terrorist organizations which have found fairly safe haven in the country. Many of these organizations are allegedly bankrolled by the Pakistani government and tend to target India. During the early 2000s India suffered from a number of fairly high profile terrorist attacks that caused a substantial loss of civilian life.

This book covers the various terrorist attacks in India during the period 2008 - 2019 in some considerable detail. This info is based not only on official documentation but also on eye witness reports. It is not surprising that most of this book is from the Indian point of view as official Pakistani commentary on these events is difficult if not impossible to come by.

In line with other books from Helion, the research is well done, there are a lot of good photos as well as nicely done maps and full color profiles. The authors do a fine job of telling the story and it is pretty obvious they have done a lot of research into the subject. If you have any interest in this part of the world, this one is highly recommended.
