NOTES: Resin

Spectre Resins has chosen the Mk.7 tactical nuclear weapon for their fifth bomb subject. This was America's first and probably longest used tactical nuclear weapon. It was built in a considerable number of variants. The average operational span of these weapons was three years. These were the bombs that were used in the LABS maneuver so that the carrying aircraft could get safely away from the blast area. They were carried on a wide variety of aircraft from the Canberra to the F-84, to the Skyhawk and used as warheads in the Honest John and Corporal tactical missiles.  Amazingly, there was only one Broken Arrow with this weapon and that was with one that was not armed.

This kit is a two piece body with separate fins. The instructions, aside from being interesting reading, provide fin alignment diagrams and painting instructions. One can model this bomb as it was carried with the folded fin or as deployed.
