NOTES: For the Valom kit

I am one of those people who usually stays away from canopy masks. I mean, if you need to buy masks for a 1/48 P-51D, then perhaps you need to brush up on your skills or something. However, there come times when the job of masking the clear bits on planes can be daunting to say the least.

A good example of this is the recent Valom Handley Page Harrow kit. While flat panes are usually not an issue, turrets are. All those convex surfaces and tiny panes are enough to drive me bonkers and would ultimately end in my not building the kit.

So as soon as I got the kit, I started looking for masks. Well, I found a set by a company I had not heard of before called Peewit in the land of aftermarket, the Czech Republic. I immediately ordered a set from them (isn't Paypal wonderful for overseas sales?) paying an amount I now forget but it was in local currency and was quite reasonable, even with the shipping.

What arrived was a small pack with several chartreuse yellow sheets and a rather large placement guide, which I have replicated here. The placement images are well done and show all usable angles of the items. I immediately was glad that I had spent the money as some of these bits are truly small. I'll have to see how it works out.
