NOTES: For the Sword kit

I am one of those people who usually stays away from canopy masks. I mean, if you need to buy masks for a 1/48 P-51D, then perhaps you need to brush up on your skills or something. However, there come times when the job of masking the clear bits on planes can be daunting to say the least.

Clear bits that are good candidates are those with a lot of small panes as well as those on kits where the frame lines are not well enough defined to see them through Tamiya tape or a similar fairly translucent tape.

The Sword P-40K fits into the categories mentioned and while it is not a large sheet, is quite useful. These are kabuki tape, which is used by Eduard among others. The set is really quite simple, but the small size of some of these will require a good set of magnifiers to properly get into position.

As you can see, the instructions are good enough to get everything in place without any issues. Well worth picking up and this is an accessory I've come to use more and more as time goes by.
