NOTES:

For a lot of kits

This set from Kit Masx is something that has garnered a lot of interest in the last few years. It is a set of painting masks and in this case, it is for US insignia from August 1943-January 1947.

The set includes six different sizes that are the most commonly used during this time period. The are 60, 45, 40, 35, 30, and 25 inch sizes on four complete sheets. The set includes four of each, which should be sufficient for several aircraft .

Each mask includes two components. One is the overall outline, while the other is the star and bar. Now to use these one paints the background insignia white on the aircraft. Then places the star and bar mask. Then the surround is painted insignia blue and the outline mask is put into place. It would probably be wise to remove the star and bar mask before applying the outline mask. With the latter in place, the rest of the model can be painted as usual.

There are no painting instructions, but really, if you are at the point that you are using these, none is needed. This set is Tamiya tape, but vinyl is also available. This set is also available in 1/48 and 1/32 scale.

Thanks to Kitmasx for the review set. You can get yours today at this link.
