Now here is a most interesting idea. Decal patterns on CD in 1/72 and 1/48 for the B-29. The CD in in Pdf format which means you need to download a free Adobe Acrobat reader to be able to use it. Each section includes 9 different nose art/tail code/serial designs which you are to print out onto white decal paper with your inkjet printer. This is a great idea for those who want to have something a bit different for their model. It also allows for a larger number of options per single buy than you get with a standard decal sheet.

 I've screen captured the first entry to show you the extent of material that is with some of the subjects. A few entries are just tail patterns so you can do your own plane from those units. I've not tried to do this for several years as my last experience was less than satisfactory and I'm not sure if my printer (which is several years old) is good enough. 

However, many do have high quality inkjets and I suspect this would be perfect for a color laser printer. I have had success doing plain black markings using a commercial laser copier many years ago and today's machines are undoubtedly much better than those of yore.
