NOTES:

Enamel paint. 10cc bottles.

I'm constantly amazed as the new paint brands that appear on the scene. Arcus is one of those of which I have not heard before and they offer a line of enamels that are quite welcome. I became interested in them recently as I was looking for some ready mix RAF colors used in the Mediterranean. These were shades not offered from the usual suspects so I ordered a number of shades from Ukraine, where the paints are produced. I was specifically looking for shades called out on a recent Euro Decals sheet for Malta Spitfires.

Not a lot of brands offer shades like Deep Sky, or Light and Dark Mediterranean Blue, but Arcus has these and some other interesting shades. In fact, they offer a number of sets in both acrylic and enamel as well as individual bottles (which is what I ordered). Shipping was reasonable and fairly quick. The paint goes on very well and I used Testors enamel thinner with no issues. Something I noticed that usually is not the case with enamels. When I touched up a section or two with a brush, the color blended in well. Not sure if this is the norm with this paint or I was just lucky, but I appreciated that.

You might have to do a bit of searching for this as I'm sure that availability is limited, but it is worth it.
