This is not a full build write up like most of my reviews, I just built this kit for fun in about 5 hours. What I wanted to show is a neat effect I achieved totally by accident.

 If you look at the weathering of the left wing specifically where the flaps meet the ailerons and the outboard of the aileron.  Apart from the normal paint chipping I was trying to achieve a realistic effect of the olive drab wearing off over time and operating conditions.  Area’s of wear and movement are very often scuffed down to the bear metal.

This look was achieved totally by accident.  I was experimenting with a old bottle of SNJ polishing powder.  What I did was take a cut off brush and drybrushed the powder onto the areas I wanted the wear to show.  As you can see the effect is very convincing and just wanted to pass this on.
