For those that have a smaller budget and/or not as much room as they would like to have, there’s 1/144 scale models.

Up until a few years ago, just a few models were available, mostly airliners. However, more and more companies are producing 1/144 scale models and, believe it or not, aftermarket stuff.

Flevo Decals has decide to fill the gap in this market. This sheet covers various  Mk. IXc Spitfires in use by the Royal Netherlands Air force, its training school (Jacht Vlieg School) at Twenthe air base and Schreiner Airways (an overall orange spitfire, used as a target towing aircraft).

All in all 13 aircraft are represented on this sheet, in various colour schemes, ranging from camouflaged aircraft to an overall light blue example that was stationed in the Dutch East Indies in 1948 and the orange target towing aircraft of Schreiner.

These decals have been printed by BOA of the Czech Republic and are in perfect register, highly recommended for both Spitfire boffins as well as those that like to model Dutch air force Spitfires.

As with previous sheets, Flevodecals has given the correct colours in FS numbers. These have been converted for ease of use into Model Master, Xtracolor, Humbrol and Gunze acrylics.

Before you start asking questions on where to find the available 1/144 scale kits, Flevo decals has done the work for you. These decals are a perfect fit for the Eduard Spitfire Mk.IXc.
