Ukraine’s Print Scale Decals have a quickly expanding product line offering a great number of different options for modelers. Faced with an ancient Superscale sheet for the Blue Angels Bearcat I wanted to build, I found this sheet and quickly snapped it up.

As is the case for all Print Scale sheets, there are a large number of options to choose from on this sheet. U.S. Navy examples in Gloss Sea Blue are given for VF-3, VF- 12, VF- 83 and VF-82. Two other options are for the Blue Angels, which operated the Bearcat as their second aircraft type. The more recognizable blue paint option is again in Glossy Sea Blue, while the solo aircraft they operated, the “Beetle Bomb,” is yellow. As far as the Blue Angels “blue” version is concerned, only plane #2’s decals are provided.

Additional choices for the sheet are a Royal Thai Air Force example and two French Air Force planes (again in Glossy Sea Blue) flown over Indochina, as well as a South Vietnamese Air Force gray and white option.

As has been my experience with several of Print Scale’s sheets, the decals slid off smoothly and were of sharp quality, which is why they have become my go-to source for aftermarket decals in the past few years. In the US they are only available via eBay, although people in other countries have some other local options.
