As you may have read in a previous review, Ultracast has submitted some of its newest offering to M2 for review. In this batch were a number of exhaust pipes for the Accurate Miniatures 1/48 Allison-Engined Mustangs. These are designed as direct replacements for the kit ones and are superior in all respects. If you look at the image, you can see that each one of them is slightly hollowed out, making for a much more realistic appearance. Frankly, this is the only way to go for 'fishtail' exhaust as there is no way that you can do as good a job.

Three different sets for the Allison Mustang were sent. From the left to right they are:

• #48069: Tubular exhaust
• #48070: Flared exhaust
• #48071: RAF Fishtail exhaust

 Like the Spit wheels before, these exhaust are superbly molded and absolutely free from any flaws at all. They cannot help but add to your Mustang. I would think that one or two of these sets may also be applicable to other Allison-engined aircraft like the P-40 or P-39. The price is right and the quality outstanding.
