Early Spitfires were fitted with a metal seat. In March 1940, a different, Bakelite (though some say wooden) seat was installed to save on strategic materials. These two seats are without harness (48198) and with Sutton harness (48199). Unlike previous seat offerings from Ultracast, there is only one seat per package. However, this is probably due to feedback that suggested that most buyers only used one out of the packet. I know that in my case that is certainly true.

Like all Ultracast products, it is superbly molded and totally blemish free with only a small amount of resin flash to remove when getting it off the thin pour stubs.
