Of course you knew that there had to be more than one design of these things and there is. This is the other variant that is listed as being the 'finned' version. I've darkened the image a bit more than usual and you can see that these are very much more finned than the previous set.

This superbly molded piece is designed for the Accurate Miniatures Avenger kit, but may well fit the old Monogram one as well with a touch of work.
