This particular set is designed for the Trumpeter
Sea Fury FB.11. It includes a full tub, seat with belts molded in place, side
consoles, control stick, rudder pedals, instrument panel, forward anti-glare
panel with gunsight molded in place, and a rear deck area. As often happens, the
control stick was broken from the pour stub. I'd recommend to Pavla that they
mold in protective resin pieces to prevent this from happening as it is
inevitable that all the jostling around of the parts during shipment will result
in these fine pieces being broken.
Something I like about Pavla sets is that you don't get a
bunch of teeny parts to attach. Most all the detail is molded in place and you
simply paint it. The instructions are well drawn and generic color information
is provided so you can use the brand of your choice when it comes to painting.
It looks very much like a no-brainer set and the level of quality is such that
you won't be disappointed. In fact, I'd bet that this set would even fit the old
Frog and Pioneer kits.
