|KIT:||Master Box Ltd 1/35 'Supplies at Last' 1944-45|
|REVIEWER:||Scott Van Aken|
It is rare that we see a two figure set from MasterBox. This particular one is called 'Supplies at Last' and has the figures carrying meals and coffee back to their comrades in the lines. Often times the chow wagon was rather far back to keep it from being overrun by the enemy so food had to be brought up by soldiers in the group. Not sure how this was decided, but from my experience in the military, jobs like this were rarely volunteer operations! The two soldiers are in the garb typically worn in the last couple of years of the war.
There is no instruction sheet, but on the back of the box are two views of each figure showing where the parts fit and giving color information. A parts diagram is also provided so you can identify each bit. Color information is provided with Vallejo, Tamiya, Lifecolour, Humbrol and Agama references, so you should be able to find something that will work.
I have recently learned that there are quite a few people who like doing figures like this. If not for stand-alone, then together in a diorama of some sort. They definitely will add to any displaye and appear to be pretty straight-forward in terms of construction and painting.
