NOTES: | Six Figures |
This is yet another of Master Box's interesting sets. This one contains six generals; one from each of the warring powers during WWII.
Starting with the short guy on the left of the box are we have Bernard Montgomery. Next to him is Georgy Zukhov. The guy with the dog is, of course, George Patton. Dog is not included. The tall guy is France's Charles de Gaulle. Next to him is the German Erich von Manstein and from across the continent is Japanese general Sugijama Hadjime. I had to look up Hadjime and found that he was not a 'fighting' general, but the Army chief of staff and the architect of the Sino-Japanese war of 1937. He committed suicide at the end of hostilities.
You get six figures as none of them are equipped with the usual plethora of equipment and weapons of the standard soldier. The back of the box contains the painting and assembly guide. Colors are keyed to Vallejo.
Master Box figures are well molded and assemble relatively quickly. They are just the thing for various period dioramas.
