NOTES: Set includes four figures

It is not often that we get figure sets for the Pacific War. Most of these seem to concentrate on Europe and North Africa, but here we have a nice one from Dragon for the first US ground assault of WWII. Guadalcanal was very much a tough go as both sides were learning how to fight in the jungles and forests of the Pacific. In particular, the Marines learned that the Japanese were quite good at camouflage and ambushes so were always wary in their patrols outside the perimeter. This set shows four of these men, each armed with something a bit different from each other and carrying the rather minimalist amount of additional equipment that was the norm, though each seems well equipped with additional ammunition packs.

Typical of all figure sets, the painting and instruction guide is on the back of the box and in full color. Gunze and Model Master paint references are provided. A great set for those who want to model something a bit less usual.
