When Azure/Special Hobby released their 1/32 I-16 kit, modelers were thrilled to have this neat little aircraft in this scale. What wasn't so thrilling is that Azure did not include an engine to fit behind the cowling. I guess they figured that no one would see it any way, but I have seen photos of this aircraft from the front and you can tell there is an engine, though you can't see much.

UMI Resins has taken care of that situation by providing an engine and cowling for this kit. It is a simple replacement of the kit parts with the resin bits, once they are properly prepared. Included are two sections of tubing for the gun barrels and some plastic rod for the engine push rods.

A really fine set and one that you really should have if doing this particular kit as it will definitely enhance the finished model.
