This is another ex-KMC set and this time for the Hasegawa 1/48 F-86F-30 Sabre. As sets go, it is pretty straight-forward and without a lot of small bits and pieces. The set includes a cockpit tub with a lot of sidewall and console detail. There is an appropriate instrument panel as well as a two piece control stick. Personally, I don't like the multiple piece Sabre control columns as I always have trouble getting them properly aligned so end up using the kit one. The seat is made of three parts; a lower seat, the rails/back part and a head rest. The molding on my set was very good and was only marred by an air bubble in the head rest. This is an 'old school' set so has large resin plugs that must be removed from the seat bottom and the bottom of the cockpit tub prior to use.

I'm glad that True Details is reissuing these older KMC sets as they are a good value for the money.
