This time, Scale Aircraft Conversions has chosen the Italeri SR-71 that you can also find in Testors boxes.  Many will find this set most welcome for their builds. It includes the nose gear and main gear struts as well as the oleo scissors for the main gear.  These are direct replacements for the kit parts so no instructions are needed. As you can see from the image, the casting is top notch. These might also be applicable to the YF-12 in 1/48 as it is basically the same airframe.

The gear is quite sturdy and all one needs to do is clean up the mold seams, paint things and install them.  Don't sweat getting thinner bits that might get a bit bent in shipping. By slowly working them back into position, they are as good as new. It is one of the realities of cast white metal that we all come across.
