This particular set is designed for the 1/48 Tamiya F-117A stealth fighter. I have to say that I didn't know there was an early or late version of the landing gear, so this is news to me. I always thought the aircraft used standard F-15 gear. Anyway, this is a great set and like others in the SAC line,  is easy to use. It is a direct replacement for the kit items.

The gear is quite sturdy and all one needs to do is clean up the mold seams, paint things and install them. As you can see from the image, the casting is first rate. Don't sweat getting thinner bits that are a bit bent. By slowly working them back into position, they are as good as new. It is one of the realities of cast white metal that we all come across.
