This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the Revell 1/72 F-89D/J Scorpion. I'm not sure when it was last released, but if you can locate it, it is a very nice kit of this aircraft. The set has the two main gear struts, a nose gear strut and the large retraction strut for it. There is a smaller metal sprue that has a number of parts on it. I'll hazard a guess and say that the two identical pieces are for the main gear and the two dissimilar bits are for the nose gear. By putting these small pieces on a metal sprue, it prevents any problems with damage. These pieces are direct replacements for the kit parts. As you can see, the molding is first rate.
