This Scale Aircraft Conversions set is for the new AMK 1/48 MiG-31 Foxhound. This is a relatively complex landing gear set as these things go. The main gear alone consists of four parts per side. The nose gear also has four pieces. The set is nicely cast and a direct replacement for the kit parts. For those wondering 'why metal gear?', well there are several good reasons. One is that SAC often combines parts into one casting. This was true of their 1/32 Hawk and Bf-109 gear, making things so much easier. Secondly, metal gear can be slightly tweaked in case you need to do so. There are kits that will benefit from the additional strength of the gear. Finally, some times we lose or break bits so these are great for replacement bits.
