This completes the large sets of upgrade bits for the  recent Airfix 1/72 Spitfire IX. This set from Pavla has the later rudder and the later elevators and horizontal stabs. A very nice set of ailerons with sharp trailing edges is also part of the package. These are pretty well direct replacements for the kit parts, though you will have to cut out the kit ailerons. I find it neat that the trim tabs on the elevators are separate as these are usually at a different angle with the elevators are in the down position. After using similar sets on their PR.XIX kit, I can tell you that these truly are an improvement over the kit bits.

As with all Pavla resin sets, this one is very well done. No instructions, as they are really not needed for this set.
