NOTES:

resin. For Hasegawa or Academy F6F Hellcat

This particular set allows the modeler to make what is not currently available in 1/72 scale; an F6F-3 Hellcat. The set is a simple replacement of the Academy or Hasegawa kit cowling with a much more detailed full engine with separate cowl flaps. The molding is quite good and though my sample had a couple of pin holes on the forward cowling, these are easy to fill and sand smooth using either filler or super glue.

No instructions are provided as frankly, none are really needed. No exhaust are provided and if you have the cowl flaps open, you'll need to put something in there. Most will choose to use either very fine solder or wire for this. It would have been nice to have had a diagram of exactly how these exhaust were routed, but there are several books that have either cutaways showing this or photos of the actual aircraft so you can add this feature.

Overall, an excellent resin detail set that you should seriously consider for your next Hellcat kit.
