This is a set specifically for the Monogram/Revell 1/48 F-18. It is an AN/AAS-38 seeker pod and includes the correct fuselage mount for that kit. Part of the mount includes the gear door and fairing so there is no problem getting things to fit. A vinyl mask to allow you to make a seeker window is also provided.
A fine addition to your next F-18 build.
