It has been over a year since Master Details has sent in any review items and I was beginning to wonder if they were still in business. Well, apparently they are as MM has received another of their fine 1/32 pilot figures. This one is a USAAF fighter pilot dressed for cold weather or high altitude. The kit has two sets of arms so you can pose him holding onto the control stick or with arms on the sides of the cockpit or a combination of either. Also included are four cast metal heads. Two are wearing O2 masks and two are not. There are also two with the goggles atop the helmet and two with them being worn. A separate hose and mask are provided for the heads that are not wearing them.
The set has instructions along with a detailed full color painting guide. The easiest way to duplicate the lenses in the goggles is to use clear epoxy. If you wish to have them tinted, then a tiny bit of black acrylic paint mixed in will provide that for you.
In all, it is a super figure and perfect for any of the big scale US fighters that are currently on the market.
My thanks to Master Details for providing the review sample. Get yours direct or from your local hobby shop.
