NOTES:

Etched Metal

More neat 1/700 photo-etched stuff from Lion Roar. This time it is a boarding platform for US Aircraft Carriers. Those of us who have been on carriers know that to get from the dock to the ship, one climbs stairs on a large scaffolding until one gets to a long ramp that is usually going into a lowered elevator. Prior to this ramp is where the quarterdeck is set up.

Lion Roar has provided an etched set that, from the look of things, allows several different ramps of varying heights and complexities. The majority of the scaffolding is on a single piece that is folded into place. One then adds ladders and the ramps and if needed, the hut. There are complete instructions on how to fold all the appropriate bits. A superb diorama accessory for US carriers of all types and sizes.
