NOTES:

Resin.

For their second conversion set, IsraCast has done a set for the H-60 Blackhawk. This set is most complete and offers all the little lumps and bumps that tend to pop up on aircraft that have to operate in hostile environs. The set is designed for the Revell 1/48 MH-60L, though I'd think that one could use this with other 1/48 kits. As with the previous set, the castings are superb with no casting glitches at all.

Besides the usual chaff/flare dispensers and antennas there are four major airframe parts provided. One is a new tail section that has all the IAF additions. Much easier to cut and replace the tail than glue on all those antennas! Second is a fillet section from just behind the exhaust that is applicable to all Blackhawk helos. You also get the thinner front gear covers for early birds and a retracted refueling probe.

The instructions are superb, offering photos of the actual aircraft and showing just exactly where the various bits go. The Blackhawk, or Yanshuf has gone through three upgrades. The Yanshuf 1 is basically an OOB Blackhawk; Yanshuf 1 mode, Yanshuf 2 and Yanshuf 3 were all various upgrades. Most helos have been brought to Yanshuf 3 standards. This set allows you to do any of the various upgrades and the instructions tell you exactly what bits go with what upgrades. Combine this with IsraDecal sheet #23 for a superb replica.

You can get this direct from the manufacturer if unavailable in your area. They have completely revamped their website and now offer the ability to order direct.
