FM Details has earned quite a good reputation amongst resin set makers. They combine super quality resin with just enough etched brass to really add to the set. I know that there are those of you out there who don't like etched brass, but once you get the hang of it, it is really quite easy to use.

This set basically replaces the cockpit in Hasegawa's excellent Macchi C.205 kits I contains a floor, sidewalls, seat, stick, gunsight, rudder pedals/bar, and a backing for the instrument panel. The instruments are on clear and one simply paints the back of them white and adds them to the rear of the etched panel face. I've had much success using clear paint for attaching this and some of the smaller bits so you don't have the mess that can happen with super glue. The key is that the parts have no load on them or the paint simply won't hold.

Instructions are excellent and show the parts placement in a logical construction sequence. Many sets simply have an exploded diagram and the sequence will help many builders. Included is a full color guide  for the various bits and pieces of the set.

I'm looking forward to using this set and have put an MC.205 on the build pile for use with this set.
