Basically, I'm previewing this set as I bought it for a project and they are at hand. Like other zoom sets, this one is just for the cockpit. Unlike many others, this is also included in with another huge fret if you want more 'stuff' in the larger set (that also costs about $15.00 more).

This set replaces all the instrument panels and adds some switches and levers that are not included in the kit. Since the Hasegawa 1/72 kit has no detail there, no need to sand away anything. I suspect that like other Eduard color sets, the Dark Gull Grey that Eduard uses on these frets is a lighter shade than most of the paints I've used for the rest of the cockpit, so you may want to keep that in mind. I've had this experience with other colors as well so it is endemic.

In addition to the nice detail and colors, there are a couple of sections of acetate for the sight that is part of the set. I've always found it quite odd that an aircraft with only a missile armament has a sight, but I guess that is to help with missile lock. I also wonder why bother with the acetate instrument backing when one has color printed instruments on etched metal. This set also includes a lot of pieces to make up the harness for the Phantom's Martin Baker ejection seats. Having experienced a high level of frustration trying to get the 1/48 pieces to fit properly, I'll probably use resin seats with the harness molded on.

Anyway, if you want an easy way to spruce up a cockpit without 6 months of applying photo-etch, this is a set you should seriously consider.
