NOTES: resin, for Fine Molds kit.

Bagheera's latest resin goodie is a complete replacement wing for the Fine Molds 1/72 Bf-109G. What they have done is to take the kit wing and use it as a basis for an entire new wing. This wing has the slats already molded in the deployed position, which is a real time saver for most of us. The flaps, ailerons and the upper and lower radiator exhaust doors are separate items as well and can be positioned as the modeler wishes. Also separate are the under wing radiators.

This wing is a very early release and came with no instructions, however, those of us who are at the level needed to use this item already know where all the pieces go. The modeler will need to use the kit landing gear and aileron mass balances, but from the look of things it will be a direct installation. I should also point out  that the wing is for a mid/late 109G. I believe it was during 109G-4 production that first went with the wider wheels that required the wing bulges. The 109G-6, most 109G-14s and many 109G-10s also used this wing.

Overall, it is an excellent set and in today's market a real bargain at only $18.00.
