This is a pretty neat idea. Armor Research provides a small etched sheet of barrel rifling. This comes with three sections per sheet and what one does is first anneal the brass to make it easier to work with. Then cut out the section you need and wrap it around a dowel or other cylindrical object. Then test fit the section inside the barrel of your choice. Once you have the section sized to properly fit without overlapping, it can then be super glued in place.
