Those who have built either of the Academy Hunters agree that there is need for improvement in the kit. Aside from some shape problems (which most who build this kit won't spot), the detail level of the cockpit and wheel wells has left something to be desired. This particular set from Aires will take care of a plethora of needs on that kit. This is a combination of their fine wheel well and cockpit sets with some other needed goodies. Specifically, there are new gear doors and new flaps.

A number of the interior bits are on the etched metal fret and include the usual instrument panel face, rudder pedals, handles and harness. A new resin bang seat of the proper mark is also included. Interestingly, there is no new nose gear/wheel with this set. Much fuss was made about the kit items being under-scale so I'm wondering if that was just a lot of needless fuss or if there was some truth to things in this area. Regardless, the Aires set is superbly done and will truly add a lot to your next Academy Hunter kit.
