This particular detail set is for the Hasegawa 1/48 P-40E Warhawk. Basically, it replaces the kit interior with a new floor, side walls, seat, instrument panel, armor plating and some other small items. It uses photo-etch for the rudder pedals, seat belts, instrument panel face and again, some smaller bits. An acetate sheet is provided for the instruments and the reflector lenses for the gun sight. An interesting option is another right sidewall that has a different grouping of instruments and such. I couldn't tell you just when this would have come into use, but it is there if you need it.
