We all like conversion sets. These allow us to build something that is not available in the box and often as not, it is something that others are not going to be building. From AIMS comes this fine set to convert the Italeri 1/72 Do-217N-1/J-1 kit into the N-2/R-22 variants.

The conversion provides a a replacement teardrop fairing of the proper length, a new belly fairing plug, a nose with the proper gun arrangement, and a better forward bulkhead with the instrument panel and various boxes that is not included with the kit. Though not supplied, a Falcon canopy wouldn't be a bad idea either.

The set includes full drawings on just what needs to be done. The one thing not supplied is the clear window for the teardrop fairing. This can be made from clear acetate, or, if you have a large enough piece, you can put in some clear plastic and sand to shape.
