Advanced Modeling 48010 MBD3-U6-68 Multiple Bomb Racks

A package arrived yesterday from the folks at Advanced Modeling in Russia and it contains a bunch of neat weapons and bits for modern Russian aircraft. This particular set is for what we in the west call a MER or Multiple Ejection Rack, but is called a Multiple Bomb Rack in Russia. Same things.

This rack is capable of holding six different weapons per rack in a three forward and three aft configuration. The set includes the two main racks as well as the bomb carriers for the various positions. These are all specific for the various sides of the rack so the sprues have an L or R stamped on the end of them. The deeper racks are on the side and the shallow ones are for the middle. The set also includes the rack attachment lugs. These are separate pieces.

The level of detail on these finely cast resin parts is world class. The resin is flawless and as you can see from the image, the detailing is outstanding. These are designed for the MiG-27, Su17/22, Su-24, Su-25, Su-27, Su-30, and Su-34 aircraft in 1/48 scale. The set comes with complete instructions.  If these are not available at your local shop, have them order them for you from the various distributors.
