This sheet covers the E-3 variant of the Bf-109, and more specifically, those of II./JG 51 during the Battle of Britain time period. The suggested kit is the Hasegawa 1/48 Bf-109E-3, though it should fit the Tamiya and perhaps the Hobbycraft kit as well.

First is White 2 in RLM 71/02/65 with large areas of RLM 70 on the upper surface and as part of the mottling. It has a white rudder with an upper yellow section and a lower cowling also in yellow. This one also has a 'sharkmouth' consisting of a big pair of lips holding a cigarette!

White 1 is also in RLM 71/02/65 with no mottling, however, it has a replacement rudder in RLM 70. There are also a number of squiggles of RLM 70 on the upper surfaces.

Black 1, another 71/02/65 plane, has a yellow spinner with mottling only around the cockpit area on the sides.

Finally, Yellow 1, with a full yellow nose and rudder as well as a white spinner. Again in 71/02/65, it has rather heavy mottling on the sides. All of the aircraft have large under wing crosses as was typical of the time to keep them from being shot down by friendly fire.
