Having a sense of Deja vu? Think I've put the wrong images in the review? Well right on the first but not the second. This sheet is a repop of sheet 72-738. Obviously that sheet sold very well and Superscale is doing a favor for those of you who missed it the first time around.

All aircraft are from VMF-213 on Guadalcanal in 1943. Since they are all basically the same, I'll just give aircraft number and the name of the plane. Colors for these early Corsairs was navy blue-grey (FS 35189 - which is the closest FS match) uppers and light gull grey (FS 36440) on the the underside.

#11 is called 'defab', #10 is 'Gus's Gopher' and has 8 kills. It was flown by Lt. Wilbur Thomas. #20 is 'Eagle', and #8 is 'Dangerous Dan'/'Eight Ball'.

Four very good subjects for the Hasegawa 1/72 Corsair. While you are at it, pick up the True Details cockpit and wheels for this kit. They really help it look sharp!

If you want to see what one of these markings looks like on a kit, then have a peek at this review.
