One aircraft that hasn't been overlooked by decal sheet producers is the F-18 Hornet. Though it hasn't a prayer in overcoming the number of F-4 sheets released, it is running darn close.
This particular sheet has three subjects on it: all in the simplified tactical paint scheme of FS 36375 lowers with 36320 upper surfaces. There are enough common markings and stencils for two of the three subjects and enough insignia for all three. Typical of later Superscale sheets, the stencil placement chart is very good. As you would expect from modern tactical aircraft, there is very little color other than grey.
First subject is from VFA-37 aboard the USS John F Kennedy.
Next is a VFA-94 F-18C from the USS Abraham Lincoln. These two aircraft have a smattering of color in their unit tail markings.
The final subject is a VMFAT-101 Hornet. The Marine bird is totally devoid of any color as is typical of many USMC birds.
While not exactly designed to stand out, these markings are all quite typical of fleet Hornets.
