Continuing with producing sheets for the B-17, here is the first of two new ones. For kits, you have the Revell version for the F and the Monogram kit for the G. There isn't another that I know of in 1/48.
First up is 'Wabash Cannon Ball' from the 322 BS/91 BG in 1943. This B-17F is in the standard colors of OD over Neutral Grey.
The G is a bare metal aircraft from 851 BS/490 BG. It carries the red bands on the wings and tail planes, the color also going on the fin tip. The builder will have to paint those colors on 'Carolina Moon'. Judging by all the mission markings, this aircraft was probably rather weathered.
Either scheme will be a good replacement from the kit decals.
