If you can't have a 109 sheet, then an F-4 sheet is just as good! This one is for two Marine Phantoms from the early 1970s and both are in light gull grey over white, before the move to all grey came into play. There are enough common markings and insignia to do one plane. You'll also need to hunt up some intake-walk decals as well as some for the inner wing. Since most will use the very nice Hasegawa kit for this, I do believe those are included. I'd recommend the newer F-4J boxing as the earlier kit has a USAF interior.

The VMFA-333 plane is from the USS America cruise in 1972. Most of the photos I have of these planes shows a red lip on the intake. That is not shown on the instructions sheet and you may want to add that. I've no photo of this particular aircraft in these markings, so cannot verify that specifically.

The other is the CO's bird from VMFA-115. It has an all white tail with the unit markings on it. There are also red, white and blue wing tip stripes. Too bad they didn't do the Bicentennial scheme on this one as it was really flamboyant! Probably not enough room on one sheet to do it.

As you may notice, the planes in the drawings are F-4Bs and not F-4Js. Just ignore that little difference and just use them for the positions of the decals.
